Care for your gear

Check every item before leaving home. Inspect seams, handles, closures, folding joints and support points for wear or damage. Stop using an item if a part is loose, cracked or no longer closes securely.

Wipe surfaces after use and allow fabric or enclosed parts to dry fully before storage. Follow any care label supplied with the item. Do not use abrasive cleaners, high heat or machine washing unless the individual product instructions expressly permit it.

Outdoor use

Set chairs and low tables on firm, level ground away from edges. Keep hot drinks and sharp utensils away from children. A soft cooler or lunch container does not by itself guarantee food-safe temperatures; use suitable cold packs and follow food-safety guidance for perishable food. Do not place drinkware or food containers on a stove or in a microwave unless their specific instructions confirm suitability.
